The Reservoir Dogs Trail Race is the first trail-running event allowed to completely circumnavigate the Briones Reservoir on the serene–and usually“permit-only”–East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) trails.Most trail runs are inherently beautiful, but this course offers more rolling open fire roads and boasts a nice progression of quintessentially East Bay environments, along with tree covered single-track and sweeping views of the watershed lands. Briones Reservoir is also one of the few EBMUD properties that has a substantial length of single-track trail. The 10K, Half Marathon and 35K courses are faster than other Inside Trail races because they have less elevation but they are consistent in a design intended to push each runner.
The Start and Finish for all races will be in the San Pablo Reservoir Recreation Area, which has a plethora of outdoor activities for all ages, including: hiking, fishing, kayaking/canoeing and picnicking.

Time Limit: There is an 6 hour time limit for the 35K race.
Parking: Plenty of free parking is available within the San Pablo Reservoir Boat Launch, adjacent to the Start/Finish area. Carpooling is always strongly encouraged.
Race Capacity: The Reservoir Dogs Trail Race will have a capacity of 400 runners, across all distances.

ITR Refund Policy:
Entry fees to our trail runs are non-refundable. With advanced notice, we are happy to transfer part of your entry fee (75% up to two weeks of the event, 50% from 2 weeks up to 48 hours of the event) to a future ITR event. Only registered runners can participate, and you cannot exchange your entry with another runner.
Awards & Shirts
Overall winners of each race distance will receive a medal, a custom glass Stein and an item from the Inside Trail Racing schwag bag.
All other finishers will receive a custom medal with the race logo.
The Dead Last Finisher (DLF) in each even will receive a custom award.
Age-group medals (3 deep) will be awarded in the following categories, for both males and females:

At Inside Trail Racing aid stations it’s like an all you can eat buffet, but this is a race, so don’t linger too long. Expect to find variety at all of our aid stations, including a plethora of Clif Bar Products (Clif Shot Gels, Clif Bloks, Clif Bars), as well as sweet and salty offerings like trail mix, pretzels, potato chips, Oreo cookies, Pop Tarts, boiled potatoes with salt, PB&J finger sandwiches, regular soda (Coke or Pepsi), Mountain Dew, water, Tailwind Endurance Fuel, PB&J finger sandwiches, M&M’s, Mike & Ike’s, salt tablets… you get the idea. There will also be general first aid items but no anti-inflammatory medicine. We strongly encourage all runners to carry at least one 20oz bottle during their run.
